Founded by Tracey Tarantino, who is a curator in the special events industry throughout Chicagoland with a focus on the fashion portfolio, specializes in choreography, fashion production, and live talent performances. Zzazz Productions elegantly showcases designers from both the fashion and costume realms.
Reflection:
With my background in design, this internship provided me with a broader perspective on the fashion industry. It deepened my understanding of the multifaceted aspects involved in putting on a fashion show, from physically visiting the venue to orchestrating music and choreography that complements the thematic presentation of clothing by models.
Responsibilities:
Collaborated with the founder in curating diverse music selections for weekly fashion shows.
Recorded choreography in advance, ensuring timely distribution to models preparing for upcoming shows.
Organized garments on racks, facilitating efficient preparation for models upon their arrival.
Acquired proficiency in conducting site surveys as part of the pre-planning process for fashion shows.
Outcome:
Backstage, served as a dresser for models undergoing quick changes and handled garments with delicate fabrics responsibly.
Developed expertise in assisting models during rapid costume changes while ensuring the careful handling of fabrics and accessories.
Learned proper procedures for storing garments designated for transfer to various locations and for use by different models in distinct shows.
