The Octahedron                                         Fashion Collective

The Octahedron Collective, a Dominican University 2022 project-based class experience, was charged with creating prom garments for the fashion department's Specialty Markets course.  Split into roles, the class of designers drafted original patterns, sourced materials, launched a photo shoot, managed company details and responsibilities, generated fashion illustrations, and constructed formal wear for young people celebrating their high school prom.  With this collection of unique designs, the company expressed innovation and style that rings with elegance and confidence.  The end result is six outfits won by selected high schoolers attending their spring 2023 prom.

Our weekly meetings play a crucial role in presenting our fabric selections to the entire class, contributing to our fashion portfolio. These sessions involve collaborative discussions to determine the optimal strategies for our upcoming steps in the collection.
